PEN Writes (Centenary Campaign, English PEN)

English PEN is the founding Centre of PEN International. From now until September 2021 they are running a solidarity campaign PEN Writes as part of their centenary celebrations, which we at Irish PEN/PEN na hÉireann are proud to support. Each month they will focus on three writers and/or organisations whose freedom of expression is under attack. We encourage our members and supporters to write letters of solidarity to these imprisoned writers. Messages can be sent to English PEN, who will forward them. They also have the option of  filling out a simple form with a brief message, which will be forwarded.

If you are writing to someone, please mention that you’re a member of Irish PEN/PEN na hÉireann. Please do NOT write about religion or politics r anything that might cause trouble for someone.
