The committee of the former Irish PEN retired early in the summer of 2020. A small, Covid-compliant event saw a special award given to Fr Tony Gaughan in thanks for his long service and dedication. The Freedom to Write Campaign set up an interim steering committee to oversee the transition to a new Irish PEN/PEN na hÉireann, which will be launched on 15^th November, 2020 at an event to mark the day of the Imprisoned Writer.  Posts in this ‘Archive’ section relate to the activities of the earlier organisation.
