At our last committee meeting, it was unanimously decided to award an honorary life membership to long-standing committee member Joseph Romonowsky in recognition of the work he has done for Irish PEN.
Members will remember that it was Joseph who first conceived the idea that we should set up an award for Irish Literature, which culminated in the establishment of the Irish PEN/A.T. Cross award.
