Kalahari Blues & Other Plays by Miriam Gallagher was recently launched in Graiguenamanagh Library as part of Ireland's ' Booktown Festival. '
This second book of produced plays includes Kalahari Blues (commissioned by Galloglass Th. Co.) Midhir & the Firefly based on the old Celtic tale of Midhir, Etain and The Mighty Oak of Riverwood (commissisoned to celebrate 40 yrs of Betty Ann Norton Theatre School)
Miriam's work is produced internationally and translated into several languages.

Many PEN menbers were involved in the publication and recent launch of a collection of short stories published to celebrate the 30th birthday of Poolbeg Press, which has been publishing in Ireland since 1976.
The collection contains thirty stories, by Poolbeg writers past and present, and it was launched in Hughes and Hughes bookshop, St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre on the 4th of October by Blathnaid ni Chofaigh.
Author royalties from the collection will be going to Woman's Aid.
